Eco Sway

Individueel project – researcher

Tijdens de Engelstalige minor Designful Innovation ben ik bezig geweest met een individueel project over hoe ik bioplastic kan ontwikkelen.

“How might I develop a biodegradable bag for market visitors that effectively addresses environmental concerns and offers a sustainable alternative to traditional plastic bags?”

Enter Eco Sway, a bag crafted from natural resources. This material is biodegradable, waterproof and heat-resistant. It’s more than just a re-usable bag, Eco Sway features multiple pockets to help market visitors segregate their purchased food. Aiming to combat pollution and reduce food waste. Notably, the materials used are derived from food waste sources in the market, and the bag even contains seeds.

When the bag reaches the end of its life cycle, you can either plant it in your garden or use it as compost to foster new life, initiating a fresh ecosystem. To obtain a Eco Sway bag, simply exchange your old collection of plastic bags with your local market vendor. They will recycle the plastic bags into crates for selling and transporting food. This circular approach not only tackles pollution but also promotes sustainability in the production and disposal of bags.
